To Strengthen the Links and Communication between the Parent Body and the School to ensure Openness & Inclusion of the Whole Community
How ? :
At each Parentnet meeting (1 x Term) one Agenda item will be a report from the Board/School on current progress towards meeting Strategic/Annual Goals (summary of key work undertaken by Board/School in recent months)
Parents may request the School/Board to provide feedback on any item of interest they would like further updates on (1 weeks notice via email)
A Finalised Agenda will be sent out 2 days prior to the meeting to the whole community
Minutes of the meeting will be posed on the Website (PIP Page)
A Weekly email notice will continue to be circulated every Thursday with Events/Notices of Immediate Interest to Parent Community e.g., Requests for Help / Reminders of Key Dates & Upcoming Events
The “Board Shorts” (Newsletter) will be emailed to families and posted on School Website (Once a Term Minimum) and the School Newsletter every Fortnight.
School Website will become the main conduit of Information sharing between Home and School.
The Principal to use her Professional Blog (linked to the School Website) to provide Information on topics of Interest to the Community (Educationally Related e.g., composite Classes, Key Competencies, E-Learning at WMS)
Parents in Partnership (PIP) meetings will be more actively used by the Board & School Leadership Team, to obtain Feedback and Input on New Initiatives by Providing a
“ Taster” on Community Response to a Particular Topic / Event or Initiative
Further Consultation Processes / Information Sharing can then be Developed from the Initial “Taster,” to get Feedback from the Wider Parent Community
