    7. Aircraft Western Wings Flight School utilizes Cessna aircraft in our training programs. Several different models are used during individual phases of the Career Program. As a student you will be able to select which aircraft you wish to be trained in, meeting your budget, FAA requirements, and technology requirements.
    8. Aircraft Avionics and equipment All of our aircraft are equipped and authorized for instrument flight. Depending on your needs, we have aircraft with GPS, VOR, ILS, ADF, and DME instrumentation. Carborated and Fuel-Injected aircraft are both available.
    9. Our Facility Our facility is designed for all of your flight training needs. We provide classrooms, a flight planning room, Pilot Lounge, test practice room, offices, and a restroom. Our 80’x80’ hanger provides protection from the elements and provides plenty of room for on site maintenance, helping prevent you from experiencing costly and inconvenient delays.
    10. Cedar City Regional Airport The airport has two runways; the second largest public runway in the state as well as a cross wind runway. Equipped with the latest navigational aids: precision instrument approach (ILS), VOR Approach, and GPS approach, Cedar City is the best place to earn your instrument rating.
    11. Local Area The Cedar City flight practice areas is over 50 square miles in area, just a short distance from the airport, creating a safe and effective training arena. The Cedar City Regional airport is currently un-towered, making it a premier flight training airport as more of your money is spent in the air rather than waiting for a takeoff clearance. Towered airports are closely located in Las Vegas, Provo, and Salt Lake City where you can enhance your flight experience.
    12. Surrounding Area While learning to fly at Western Wings Flight School you will be enjoying some of the best scenery that the Rocky Mountains have to offer. At 5,622 ft above sea level Cedar City is located close to Zion’s National Park, Cedar Breaks, and Bryce Canyon, with Lake Powell recreational area and the Grand Canyon just a short flight away.
    13. Take a Discovery Flight. Western Wings Flight School offers you the opportunity to experience the excitement of flying without any commitment. Our $60 Discovery flight is a great opportunity to explore aviation for yourself or a great gift for an aspiring pilot, or simply someone who loves aviation. During your Discovery flight, a flight instructor will be sitting beside you with another set of flight controls, but you’ll be in the pilot’s seat! This is your first flight lesson, and you’ll see what it’s like to visually inspect the aircraft before flight, take off, fly, land, park, and shutdown! Although the flight instructor will perform the landing, depending on your comfort level you will be doing most of the flying including the take-off. You’ll fly the most popular training airplane, the Cessna 172. Your flight will last about 30 minutes and you can even log that time in a logbook so it counts toward the required flight time for your private pilot certificate! Please plan on being at the airport for at least 2 hours so that you have time to ask the instructor and course adviser any questions you may have, and mostly just to sit back in our pilot lounge and discuss the joy of your first flight with others.
    14. Let Western Wings Flight School put you in the pilot seat. 877-440-WINGS www.westernwingsaviation.com E-mail: contact@westernwingsaviation.com
