  1. 1. Provision WebinarThe role ofprayer, repentance, giving, wisdom, blessing and thankfulness inprovision
  2. 2. Deuteronomy 2:7The Lord your God has blessed you in all thework of your hands. He has watched over yourjourney through this vast desert. These fortyyears the Lord your God has been with you andyou have not lacked anything.
  3. 3. PrayerMatthew 6:9-15• 9 “This, then, is how you should pray:• “‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name,10 your kingdom come, your will be done,on earth as it is in heaven.11 Give us today our daily bread.12 And forgive us our debts,as we also have forgiven our debtors.13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.• 14 For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, yourheavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you do not forgiveothers their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.
  4. 4. Ask!Matthew 7:7-12• 7 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find;knock and the door will be opened to you. 8 Foreveryone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds;and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.• 9 “Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give hima stone? 10 Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake?11 If you, then, though you are evil, know how to givegood gifts to your children, how much more will yourFather in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!12 So in everything, do to others what you would havethem do to you, for this sums up the Law and theProphets.
  5. 5. You have not because you ask not!James 4:2-32 You desire but do not have, so you kill. Youcovet but you cannot get what you want, so youquarrel and fight. You do not have because youdo not ask God. 3 When you ask, you do notreceive, because you ask with wrongmotives, that you may spend what you get onyour pleasures.
  6. 6. Stories of Provision as a result ofPrayer• George Muller• Personal Stories
  7. 7. Repentance• “Some people have repented enough to getinto the Kingdom, but not enough to see theKingdom.” Randy Clark• Time to repent for past financial mistakes• Ask God to see if there is anything that ishindering you receiving the provision of God

  9. 9. 1 John 1:9If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just andwill forgive us our sins and purify us from allunrighteousness.
  10. 10. GivingMalachi 3:6-12• 6 “I the LORD do not change. So you, the descendants of Jacob, are notdestroyed. 7 Ever since the time of your ancestors you have turned awayfrom my decrees and have not kept them. Return to me, and I will returnto you,” says the LORD Almighty.• “But you ask, ‘How are we to return?’• 8 “Will a mere mortal rob God? Yet you rob me.• “But you ask, ‘How are we robbing you?’• “In tithes and offerings. 9 You are under a curse—your whole nation—because you are robbing me. 10 Bring the whole tithe into thestorehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says theLORD Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heavenand pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to storeit. 11 I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in yourfields will not drop their fruit before it is ripe,” says the LORD Almighty.12 “Then all the nations will call you blessed, for yours will be a delightfulland,” says the LORD Almighty.
  11. 11. 2 Corinthians 9:6-15• Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoeversows generously will also reap generously. 7 Each of you should give what you havedecided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves acheerful giver. 8 And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at alltimes, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work. 9 As it iswritten:• “They have freely scattered their gifts to the poor;their righteousness endures forever.”[a]• 10 Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply andincrease your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness.11 You will be enriched in every way so that you can be generous on everyoccasion, and through us your generosity will result in thanksgiving to God.• 12 This service that you perform is not only supplying the needs of the Lord’speople but is also overflowing in many expressions of thanks to God. 13 Because ofthe service by which you have proved yourselves, others will praise God for theobedience that accompanies your confession of the gospel of Christ, and for yourgenerosity in sharing with them and with everyone else. 14 And in their prayers foryou their hearts will go out to you, because of the surpassing grace God has givenyou. 15 Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!

  14. 14. Isaiah 11:1-3• A shoot will come up from the stump of Jesse;from his roots a Branch will bear fruit.2 The Spirit of the LORD will rest on him—the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of might, the Spirit of the knowledge and fear of theLORD—3 and he will delight in the fear of the LORD.
  15. 15. Lacking wisdom? AskJames 1:2-8• 2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters,[a]whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because youknow that the testing of your faith producesperseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so thatyou may be mature and complete, not lackinganything. 5 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should askGod, who gives generously to all without findingfault, and it will be given to you. 6 But when youask, you must believe and not doubt, because the onewho doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossedby the wind. 7 That person should not expect to receiveanything from the Lord. 8 Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.
  16. 16. Colossians 1:9-149 For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we havenot stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill youwith the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom andunderstanding that the Spirit gives,[e] 10 so that you may live alife worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearingfruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge ofGod, 11 being strengthened with all power according to hisglorious might so that you may have great endurance andpatience, 12 and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who hasqualified you[f] to share in the inheritance of his holy people inthe kingdom of light. 13 For he has rescued us from thedominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of theSon he loves, 14 in whom we have redemption, the forgivenessof sins.

  19. 19. Numbers 6:22-27Then the Lord spoke to Moses saying, Speak toAaron and his sons, saying, "Thus you shall bless thesons of Israel.
