Mining and oil
plants and rubber
Sometimes the forest is cut down for plantations to grow food for rich countries . Food such as strawberries, egg plant, peppers, pineapples, bananas, sugar cane and palm oil plant.
When logging happens the orangutans lose space and become unhealthy .
Poor people shouldn't do logging but they are the only people on our opinion.
The loggers do this because they need money.
All the farmers like logging for the reason that they need land to grow crops .
MINING and OIL
Companies mine in the forest because there is a great amount of gold. For this reason they chop down the trees.
There is lots of oil in the rainforest and roads are built to get to the best sites. Oil is used for petrol, plastic and fabrics. It also pullouts the air.
In 1987 a satellite pictured in the Amazon rainforest that there were millions of fires burning the forest.
Forest fires have destroyed large areas of tropical forest. Fires are started as a quick way to clear land for farming. Forest fires have destroyed large areas of tropical forest. Fires are started as a quick way to clear land for farming.
Trees are cut down to make log houses and also for factories to make the building material.
As well some builders don’t throw there rubbish away properly and that pollutes the air the same way.
Plants and Rubber
Rubber is taken from the rainforest and many other species of plant.
This causes plants to become extinct. And damages the trees that the rubber comes from.
Only 3.5 billion acres of rainforest still exest.
Orangutans need at least 50 acres to survive. and if these mammals do not have the fifty acres they will die in 3 days.
