Creating a business page <ul><li>To set up your business page, you do not need a personal profile. </li></ul><ul><li>You can set up a business page separately from an existing profile by using a different email address. </li></ul><ul><li>Consider whether you want your personal and business mixed or separate. </li></ul>
  8. 8. Creating a business page <ul><li>Go to www.facebook.com </li></ul><ul><li>Sign-up by filling out the Select “Create a Page” link below the green button </li></ul>

  10. 10. Creating a Fan Page <ul><li>Enter the name of your page. YOUR BUSINESS Name </li></ul><ul><li>Check the box “Do not make Page publicly visible at this time.” </li></ul><ul><li>Note: Once you finish adding your information, pictures, etc, you can go back and publish your page </li></ul><ul><li>Click on the “Create Page” button </li></ul>
  11. 11. Add information about yourself <ul><li>Add </li></ul><ul><li>your logo or your professional photo </li></ul><ul><li>a description of your expertise </li></ul><ul><li>business contact information including website, blog and phone numbers </li></ul>
  12. 12. <ul><li>From any page, scroll to the bottom of the screen and click on “Advertising” </li></ul>Finding and Editing Your Fan Page <ul><li>Click on the “or manage your existing Pages” located under the green “Create a Page” button </li></ul>NOTE: Once you have posted content to your Fan Page, you can easily access it by clicking the “Home” link at the top of your screen, then click on “Pages” from the left hand menu.

(In this example, a blog post from Geek Girls) Step 3 – Enter any comments you wish to include in the box above the URL Step 4 – Click the “Attach”, then “Share” buttons
  15. 15. Adding photos to your page Step 1 – Click on the Attach: Photo icon Step 2 – Click on “Upload a Photo”. You can also create albums, and take a pic with a webcam Step 3 – Click on the “browse” button then select the picture from your computer’s hard drive Step 4 – Click the “Share” button to complete your upload
