Govdex – Government Data Exchange An initiative of the Australian Government’s 2006 e-Government Strategy , Responsive Government: A New Service Agenda launched 30 March 2006 A secure online resource that facilitates collaboration between agencies and across jurisdictions as part of the vision of a connected and responsive government by 2010 through: – meeting users’ needs _ establishing connected service delivery _ achieving value for money _ enhancing public sector capability

Govdex Managed and operated by Australian Government Information Management Office (AGIMO) in the Department of Finance and Deregulation A free to use service for Australian Government Departments and Agencies Secure to IN-CONFIDENCE level and is hosted on a secure Defence Signals Directorate (DSD) certified server GovDex PROTECTED product in the future All staff working on GovDex security assessed at a minimum to a provisional level of security of PROTECTED
