Vi is a full service digital agency, covering design, develop- ment, optimisation and marketing. AGENCY We pride ourselves on a small agency ethos that produces big agency results. We were recently named one of the Top 5 Agencies to Look Out For by Web Designer Magazine. ETHOS, BIG Our clients like us because we work hard and work smart to provide as much value for them as possible. Over the past two years, we have invested considerably in growing innovation from within. The result is new ways of thinking AGENCY and doing that directly benefit those we work with. We were the first to stream high definition video with no buffer times for the end user - this became the central RESULTS” technology to a whole start-up company. We were the first company to create a Flash website that is as “readable” by search engines as a non-Flash site. Vaux- hall used the technology for a yearly artist sponsorship and we were shortlisted for the prestigious Econsultancy Innovation Award. We have just launched a partnership with the research fellows, students and graduates of Goldsmiths University to bring a high standard of innovation to future projects. We grew up living in digital, so it’s not something we’ve learnt. It’s something we are. VI offered a complete package of branding, website development and business solu- tions consultancy. The site boasts an intuitive check- out process that facilitates the login and register system minimizing the amount of clicks in the user’s journey and bringing them closer to conversion. VI gave Glimpse Online a new brand identity and a sleek site redesign, on top of a newly optimised ecom- merce platform. Our greatest innovation for Glimpse Online is the introduction of an affiliate scheme, run through an embeddable widget, for both designer pro- file pages and their individual products. This greatly extends the reach of Glimpse, potentially allowing for direct links to checkout from any page on the web.   • 9. Solopress ........................................................................................ Solopress is the second largest printing company in the UK. In the lead-up to a complete overhaul of their e-commerce site, VI implemented a short-term solution that optimised “micro-conversion” points, such as product views, cart adds, cart removals and checkouts. This resulted in a near 10% boost in online sales with-in 8 weeks. Through a complete rebranding and restructuring of the physical business, VI helped Solopress take ownership of their reputation of being “the 24 Hour Printers”. We are currently working to refine conversion on a very sophisticated level, by unifying all of their marketing efforts into one channel. As an in-house project, our design team worked on the redesign of highstreet retailer, River Island’s website. Using the contents from the original site, we restructured the interface to allow for a user experi- ence that was clear and guided. The minimalist, sleek design prevents the user from being distracted from their goals and focuses their attention on featured products. Aimed at an aspirational demographic of young urbanites, we made “The World’s Best App” the centrepiece of a cross-media push. Stealth marketing across mainstream media outlets would alert people to the existence of an exlusive smartphone application that would give them access to the “ultimate in party cool.” In close partnership with Nick House Entertainment, who run some of the most prestigious nights in London for celebrities and royalty alike, the application would offer sophisticated features such as geo-location- aware functionality, doorman notification, drinks ordering, private car hire, friend finder, ex-partner call blocker, among others. ........................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................... The BBC asked us to come up with a concept for the forthcoming Formula One Season that would draw users online and augment their tv viewing experi- ence. the solution a website nested in their current site that would provide: Live GPS tracking of cars on circuit while maintaining full interactivity. Live video from multiple track-side or in-car cameras, enhanced driver based track guides with cross media possibili- ties, driver car comparisons with “ghost car” features, dynamic alerts for live race events, novice guide to F1 rules, regulations, shown through complete circuit overview and lap drive, editable tracks with analysis of effects, simulations of weather conditions and its effects on race day, with corresponding racing line, tyre, fuelling and pitstop strategies and more. The cam- paign was based around the concept of a treasure hunt as each piece of the website would be released over time in snippets on the internet, thus a user would have to hunt around the internet to find the campaign. Despite their “no frills image,” and being one of the biggest airlines in the UK, the current offering online breaks every rule of usability, persuasion architecture and common logic. We’ve gone for a complete redesign that incorpo- rates a sophisticated contextual affiliate scheme that replaces outdated banner ads – if you choose to see flights to Barcelona, maybe you’re also interested in getting tickets to a football game during your stay. The Federation Equestre Internationale (FEI) is the sole worldwide body governing horse sports, jumping, dressage and other events. VI helped them transition from a cripplingly expensive dependence on Microsoft Sharepoint to an open source framework that now supports close to one million web pages for the global organisation. After a complete redevelopment of their flagship site, online television channel and intranet, VI continues to work with the FEI to create minisites and sub-branded content. VI was tasked with helping them transi- tion into a full services digital agency that could take serious claims in online display, social media, affiliate marketing and analytics consultancy. Within the first six weeks, there was a 300% increase in business leads from the site. Partnering with video streaming leader Brightcove, we’ve built a monetisable video platform for online and mobile, that offers fully searchable and shareable content. We pioneered the technology behind their instantly- loading high definition streams, which allows users to click anywhere on the progress bar and start playing the video without buffer time. Using a series of sophisticated, custom-made algo- rithms, colour quality is as rich and vivid as those found in the source file, and motion blur is free from the usual artifacts found. The player was tooled to constantly readjust the video resolution according to fluctuating bandwidth and computer resources, offering a smooth experience over other services often streamed at a single bit-rate that compromise on image quality. We started using Adobe Flex, but adapted it into our own framework and built it at a quarter of the file size.
