Themes such as the European business environment, shifting towards new energies and ‘the currently biggest challenge that society has to face’ were discussed. CASE STUDY · Frank Rösiger, BASF SE Frank Rösiger spoke to the audience about production planning and productivity – implementing a successful production planning system & integrating a local supply chain management system to reduce time to market and to reach shop floor excellence, and gave insights on the integration of supply and demand planning, forecasts and performance management. CASE STUDY · Dr. Johannes Eickmans, Bayer Material Science AG Dr. Johannes Eickmans presented his Case Study “Implementation of a Global System for Production Loss Accounting”. With the focus on: Setting up a globally harmonized production loss code structure, defining and selection of KPI’s, Gaining acceptance through change management and Data consistency from shop floor to top floor – Integration into SAP warehouse. 2015 Global ManuChem Strategies March 19 – 20, 2015 in Berlin Global ManuChem Strategies 2014 ► INTERNATIONAL CASE STUDY · Dr. Dieter Regnat, Clariant Service AG Dr. Dieter Regnat analyzed the topic ‘The next step of excellence in production – integrated optimization of yield, energy and environment’ and gave insights on a holistic approach for optimizing main drivers of variable production costs, an interdisciplinary process analysis for reaching the overall economical optimum, yield improvements through lean sigma approach and opportunities for process improvements through new analytical methods. CASE STUDY · Heiko Mennerich, Evonik Industries AG Heiko Mennerich delivered the Case Study “Sometimes! – The Improvement Process of our Production Units has to be simplified”, whereby he looked into the operating behaviors of companies concerning energy, bottom up approaches and integration of a local excellence team.
