  • 1. Weekly News from WCUMC-2/03/2013Sharing the transforming love of Jesus, across the street and around the world. "Co-Heirs Through the Gospel" Basic Training for Followers of ChristThis plan is that the Gentiles would be co-heirs and parts of the samebody, and that they would share with the Jews in the promises of Godin Christ Jesus through the gospel.God sent me to reveal the secret plan that had been hidden since thebeginning of time by God, who created everything. Gods purpose isnow to show the rulers and powers in the heavens the many differentvarieties of his wisdom through the church. This was consistent withthe plan he had from the beginning of time that he accomplishedthrough Christ Jesus our Lord. In Christ we have bold and confidentaccess to God through faith in him. Ephesians 3:6, 9-12Gods "plan" was important for Paul It revealed his mission to go to the Gentiles. He learned his responsibility was to share Gods plan with all.Gods "plan" was important for the Gentiles. They became "co-heirs" with the people of God, the Jews. Gentiles now shared in the spiritual riches of Israel.
  • 2. Gods "plan" is important for followers of Jesus today. Gods revealed plan is what He promised in the Old Testament, what Christ did in the Gospels, what the early church did in the book of Acts, what Paul and others taught in the epistles, and what God will do in the book of Revelation. Gods plan gives us confidence and faith that God works in us, for us and through us.So lets share His revealed word with the world.Next week: "Strength Through the Holy Spirit", Ephesians 3:14-21.
