01 01-12 am our calling for tomorrow

  1. 1. Philippians 3:1-15
  2. 2. Philippians 3:1-151 Finally, my brothers, rejoice in the Lord. Towrite to you again about this is no trouble forme and is a protection for you.2 Watch out for “dogs,” watch out for evilworkers, watch out for those who mutilate theflesh.3 For we are the circumcision, the ones whoserve by the Spirit of God, boast in Christ Jesus, and do not put confidence in the flesh—
  3. 3. Philippians 3:1-154 although I once also had confidence in theflesh. If anyone else thinks he has grounds forconfidence in the flesh, I have more:5 circumcised the eighth day; of the nation ofIsrael, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew bornof Hebrews; regarding the law, a Pharisee;6 regarding zeal, persecuting the church;regarding the righteousness that is in the law, blameless.
  5. 5. Philippians 3:1-157 But everything that was a gain to me, I haveconsidered to be a loss because of Christ.8 More than that, I also consider everything tobe a loss in view of the surpassing value ofknowing Christ Jesus my Lord. Because of Him Ihave suffered the loss of all things and considerthem filth, so that I may gain Christ
  6. 6. Philippians 3:1-159 and be found in Him, not having arighteousness of my own from the law, but onethat is through faith in Christ—therighteousness from God based on faith.10 My goal is to know Him and the power of Hisresurrection and the fellowship of Hissufferings, being conformed to His death,11 assuming that I will somehow reach theresurrection from among the dead.
  7. 7. Philippians 3:1-1512 Not that I have already reached the goal oram already fully mature, but I make every effortto take hold of it because I also have been takenhold of by Christ Jesus.13 Brothers, I do not consider myself to havetaken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgettingwhat is behind and reaching forward to what isahead,14 I pursue as my goal the prize promised byGod’s heavenly call in Christ Jesus.
  8. 8. Philippians 3:1-1515Therefore, all who are mature should thinkthis way. And if you think differently aboutanything, God will reveal this also to you.
  9. 9. 1) Let Us Forget a) Our Heritage b) Our Harm c) Our Honors2) Let Us Focus a) On God’s Prize b) On God’s Promise c) On God’s Plan
