Cold Sore Free Forever: 15 Tips to Cure
Your Cold Sore and Be Cold Core Free
I actually hate cold sores so much. What about you?
Not even a question to ask since nobody likes cold
sores. But most of the time they are always there - I
used to get them all the time and it really pissed me
off.
Before when I mentioned the word COLD SORE,
I’d feel the tingle come out immediately! Here are
some few things which can help reduce them though:
1 - Try as much as possible to have your own
cup/glass at home and work: This really helps, and it
is of utmost importance in avoiding cold sores,
especially if you notice that someone at work or at
home has it.
2 - Avoid kissing someone with cold sores
3 - Exposure to sun triggers one in four cases of cold
sores.
4 - Use a sunscreen of at least 15 SPF on your lips
and other susceptible areas.
5 - If stress triggers them, practice relaxation
techniques.
6 - Don't use the same towels, razors or utensils as
someone with cold sores.
7 - Replace your toothbrush when you feel the
tingling sensation at the outbreak of an attack, after
the blister breaks and when the sore is gone and be
sure to wash your hands thoroughly after touching
the sores.
8 - It is a good idea to boost your immune system.
Try taking the herbs echinacea and goldenseal to
boost immune system.
Supplements
9 - Vitamin C Take 200-500 mg. of vitamin C along
with 200-500 mg. of citrus bioflavonoids three times
a day. This remedy will greatly reduce the duration of
the sores.
10 - Vitamin E, applied topically, will provide pain
relief.
11 - Yogurt Eating plain yogurt (with acidophilus)
with live cultures is a good preventive measure. Heat-
treated yogurt won't work. People who have added
yogurt to their daily diet have discovered that they
don't get cold sores, or very few. Yogurt seems to
stimulate the immune system.
12 - Zinc Using: Zinc has been reported to reduce
the duration of cold sores. Applied topically, it
speeds healing. Zinc tablets may also help, but don't
take more than 15 mg for more than a week or so
without medical supervision. Take up to 60 mg a day
for the first week.
13 - I also have found that Abreva works pretty well.
It really helps speed up the healing process. If I feel
that tingly feeling that suggests I'm getting one, I put
Abreva on it immediately and it usually works.
However, it is expensive and messy, but less messy
now that it comes in a little pump.
14 - Some people like to dry them out by constantly
rubbing alcohol on the cold sore. Some people say it
works best for them.
15 – There is this guide on curing Cold Sore called
“Cold Sore Free Forever” Many people have been
writing positive reviews on it and it actually works. If
you try the above tips and they don’t seem to work
for you, then you can try out this guide.
