In the morning thegirl got up early,cleaned and fedthe witch’s pets –snakes and bats.Theold lady gave herlots of taskswhich she completed
As an award shetook the girl to amagic river whichhad changed itscolour and whenthe water becameyellow she put thegirl in it.Shebecame golden andbrought out a chest
Then the witchshowed the girlthe way backhome .Her fatherwas so happybut the stepmothergot jealous andwanted her girl tohave gold too.
Everything repeated,but the second girlwasnt ashardworking as thefirst one.Thats why the oldlady punishedher.When the waterin the river becameblack she put thechild in and the girlbecame as black asthe devil.
After some time theprince sent people tobring him the goldgirl for a wife.The stepmotherexchanged the twogirls.It wasnt long beforethe lie wasdiscovered.The golden girlmarried the princeand they livedhappily ever after.
