    • Excel plots and formats chart data and places the chart axes within the chart’s plot area
      • Data values in two-dimensional charts are plotted on the y-axis and categories are plotted on the x-axis
        • A scale is created for the value (y) axis that is based on the highest and lowest values in the data series
