    • a long tail approach to yammer
    • yammer has a long tail when the network is compared to total posts
    • yammer
      Extreme contributors
long tail is defined by network size
    • the real strength of yammer is hidden in the long tail
    • influencers & subject matter experts are scatteredin your network
    • influencers & subject experts = time poor
    • how do we streamline yammer for the time poor?
    • brands are listening in social so why don’t you listen & respond
    • 1) Find an employee already active on the network (spotter) & define your passion topics
    • passion topic example checklist:
      C level employee posts
      All posts for my region
      Questions from my region
      Special subject a
      Special subject b
      Business challenges
    • 2) Spotter will bookmark posts & they are reviewed monthly by the influencer andresponses are batch replied
    • 3) Influencer is now more active on the network or can use the information to feed into their management objectives
    • ….but remember to not try to control the voices on yammer as social is a different animal to a corporate communications strategy
