    1. Modeling and Texturing Walkthrough By: Martin Reimer http://www.linkedin.com/pub/martin-reimer/1/29b/950
    2. Overview
        • Steps and process of modeling and texturing a 3D model
    3. References
        • Before starting any new model it is beneficial to have some type of reference
        • References can be pictures of real objects or art work
        • Help to get accurate scale and dimensions
        • Can later be used as a basis for textures
    4.
    5.
    6. Modeling
        • My key objective was to keep a low poly count
        • There are multiple approaches to low poly modeling

    20. Texture Creation
        • Unwrap your 3D model
          • Unwrapping is segmenting your model and flattening it onto a 2D plane
        • Use overlapping as much as possible to keep texture size smaller

        • 512x512
        • 1 Alpha Channel
    33. Final Steps
        • Attach all of your models to one mesh
        • Make sure you have the final texture applied
        • Export to game engine
    34. Final Rendering
        • 2400 polys
