A, RollNo. 61Intro: Environmental reporting is a tool to communicate a company's environmental performance; used to demonstrate companywide integrated environmental management systems, corporate responsibility and the implementation of voluntary initiatives and codes of conduct. For my environmental reporting and/or disclosures pratices in the industry I would like to discuss starbucks (one US's top beverage company), how they identified their environment threats and work for a better tomorrow for self and their customers. Fiscal 2007  Active role in advancing the usgbc’s(U.S. Green Building Council) leed standard for retail  24-hour monitoring of energy usage among a sample of 19 starbucks stores in the u.s.  Providing 409 store managers in eight regions with resource report cards(feedback on their store’s energy and water usage)  Offered customers a chance to donate their 10 cent discount to the chesapeake bay Foundation  Promoting reusable mugs  Redirecting the commuter mug discount to a locally relevant NGO increased customer participation nearly 18 percent Starbucks supports these organizations Long term commitment to the environment  We aspire to have stores that are powered by renewable energy  We will aspire to build only green stores  We aspire to a time when our cups create no waste
