  • 1. Why we use computer? As an easier resource to things such as, communication. Through alltypes of communication (via internet) we can advertise, sell, chat, phonecalls, location to location and many other things. Computers also are aneasy solution for drawing up plans/data instead of by hand.My computer serves as an entire library at my fingertips. Just abouteverything I want to know about, I can find something about on mycomputer. When someone tells me something or hear something on TV(or asks a question on Answers.com) that makes me wonder, hmm... Ijust look it up and see what facts and information I can find about it. Ican usually find what I need pretty fast, and no dusty books to handle. Why we need it?Information technology (IT) is concerned with technology to treatinformation. The acquisition, processing, storage and dissemination ofvocal, pictorial, textual and numerical information by amicroelectronics-based combination of computing andtelecommunications are its main fields. The term in its modern sensefirst appeared in a 1958 article published in the Harvard BusinessReview, in which authors Leavitt and Whisler commented that "the newtechnology does not yet have a single established name. We shall call itinformation technology (IT).Some of the modern and emerging fields ofInformation technology are next generation web technologies, bioinformatics, cloud computing, global information systems, large scaleknowledgebases, etc. Advancements are mainly driven in the field ofcomputer science.
