The collection and preservation of evidence from the forensic patient in the health care setting may impact the reliability and admissibility of the evidence for prosecution. This research study was designed to discover if the forensic protocols and procedures used by health care professionals in Massachusetts’ health care facilities impact criminal case outcomes.
