  • 1. Chemotherapy is used to kill cancer cells, but it also affects the blood count. A bone marrowtransplant will help the body to regenerate healthy blood cells. Osteoporosis causes the bones tobecome weak and brittle. They are easily broken and make normal body movements difficult.A bone fracture along the epiphyseal plate will cause complications because in children andyoung adults the plate is still growing. The epiphyseal plate is fragile and a fracture can causepain and dysfunction. The bones regenerate in our body as age, but at a certain age they stop growing. Because of this, the skeletal structure will change gradually as bones become weak and thin.(1)
