SAFETY TALK: HYDRO TESTING OF SAND BLASTING HOPPERS

that the lid (cover) of the conical portion got
detached and had fallen on the ground

air, the shot blasting nozzle got choked and
resulted in back pressure on the hopper.

was not hydrotested at 10.5 kg /cm2 as per
•All vessels used by contractor, which are pressurized during
operation, shall be fabricated as per codes (such as ASME
Section VIII Div. I).
•The vessel should be hydrotested at 10.5 kg/cm2 and the
contractor shall make valid Form-11 available as per Factories
Act, before start of the job.
