  • Home inspections are conducted to assure a buyer that the home is in acceptable condition. If the inspection turns up any major problems, buyers can decide whether to ignore the findings, negotiate the sale price to reflect the cost of necessary repairs, or walk away from the transaction.
  • At last, it’s time to legally transfer ownership of the home. Before the transaction is official, you will conduct the formal closing where you, the seller, and your respective agents and attorneys will sit down together and sign many pieces of paperwork. Be prepared to bring identification, any documents requested by your attorney, and a cashier’s check for the money owed.
