What is this branch for?Whereas geology of deposits deals with genesis anddistribution of deposits of mineral resources, itssegment – economic geology examines economy ofmining of mineral resources, especially of those ofoil and gas. Nowadays, one of the importantdirections of this specialization is the exactdetermination of value of mineral resources withrespect to course of their prices. This informationinfluences prospecting works in promising localities.The course of studies will be led in this direction ,however, graduates will be acquainted with the basisof other key geological disciplines as well.

What is this branch for?The graduates will be able to apply their acquiredknowledge in several kinds of employment, e.g. inthose public and private subjects which task is touse or protect mineral resources (bureaus of mines,oil fields, inspectorates of the environment) or inthose which monitor the course of prices ofresources as significant market commodities (miningcompanies, banks, exchange...).
