  5. 5. Understanding inventory movement <ul><li>We can post a Goods Receipt (GR) to un-restricted use, inspection and blocked stock (MvT:101) </li></ul><ul><li>Withdrawal for consumption is only allowed from un-restricted stock </li></ul>
  6. 6. Understanding inventory movement <ul><li>For all goods movements system will generate a material document </li></ul><ul><li>System will generate an accounting document only if there is a change in valuation </li></ul>
  7. 7. Understanding inventory movement <ul><li>A document is proof of transaction took place </li></ul><ul><li>Material and accounting documents are independent </li></ul><ul><li>We can post difference in stock to quality and blocked stock </li></ul>
  8. 8. Understanding inventory movement <ul><li>We can withdraw only one (time) quantity from blocked or quality as sample or scrap etc., </li></ul><ul><li>Cancellation of any posting due to error is through creating another contra entry document only </li></ul>

An entry of GR (Goods Receipt) will update <ul><li>Material document </li></ul><ul><li>Accounting document </li></ul><ul><li>Value in Finance documents </li></ul><ul><li>Quantity in warehouse </li></ul><ul><li>Quality (quantity) in quality management </li></ul><ul><li>Stock account </li></ul><ul><li>Consumption account </li></ul><ul><li>Purchase order (PO) history </li></ul><ul><li>Notify goods receipt </li></ul>
