  • AS A PART OF M.B.A – SEM – III (2008-09) Stallion Group SUBMITED BY: SUBMITED TO: Goswami Jitendragiri KUMAR GAURAV Parakhiya Vasant (LECTURUR)
  • PREFACE Today’s industrial scenario of economy is highly competitive and constantly changing. People are running to survive and fulfil their requirements. People have no time. People, have therefore, forgotten their responsibility towards the society. To maintain the system of society by working for social responsibility, some organisations are working for same. A practical study for understanding of management in such NGOs is more important with theoretical studies. In a M.B.A. program, students have to prepare a project report, as a practical study with theoretical concepts, as a partial fulfilment for the requirement of an M.B.A. degree. Here it is our sincere effort to prepare project report on BAPS that’s Bochsanwasi Shri Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha. Basic purpose and reason behind this report is to understand about BAPS and its financial system and understand the people behaviour towards the BAPS. We have selected some of the activities done by the BAPS. It also creates awareness in the management students at grass root level about the difficulties and challenges faced by the organisation in their social welfare work. This report includes graphical analysis to represent concept in an illusive way, wherever needed. Based on this analysis, risk pertaining to the project is identified by evaluating strengths and weaknesses of the project. Also we had tried to identify the importance of each variable for the evaluation and the application in different ways. At the end of the report we have suggested some recommendations based on the findings that we had made from report for the improvement of some of the factors and variables. All the facts and figures added in this report are based on the data that was available to us from the organization, along with the guidance of our faculties; we had tried to calculate all the variables. 2

Only donation is the source of income for the sanstha. • BAPS is also keeping books of records of the balance sheet and profit and loss account. • The rules and regulation of BAPS does not allow us them to give the proper figure of the donation and the donors but from observing the activities we came to know that there is a huge amount of donation given by the devotees from the all over the world. • The donation which the BAPS is getting, all that fund is distributed to the each and every activity for the social welfare. 35

  • Association of people to other NGOs:- We came to know that most of the people are not associated with other NGOs. Satisfaction level of BAPS followers:- Satisfaction 15% Highly Average 25% 60% No We can see from the graph that most of satsangi are satisfied with BAPS activities. The graph shows that 60%people who coming in the BAPS sanstha are highly satisfied with the activities that is conducted by BAPS. Most of people replied their answer in yes. Donation of employees to NGOs:- 37
  • Basically, most of the surveyors are spending average Rs. 500 annually to the BAPS. On the some occasion that amount may be changes but normally they are spending this much donation to the BAPS as part of social activity. 38
  • Conclusion We have studied the BAPS activities very throarly. BAPS is one of the most excellent NGO in the world. By its different activities we came to know that BAPS is doing very effectively social service for the society. BAPS is world’s No.2 NGO. The management at BAPS is very excellent so because of this reason BAPS is running very smoothly without any problem. Volunteers are also giving their 100% contribution. Without help of volunteers, this type of big NGO can’t run smoothly. The social activities of BAPS towards the society are very helpful. 39
  • SUGGESTIONS We have given some suggestion to the BAPS like: • Organization has to publish their detail activities plan about sabha & satsang on regular basis So, every person can know the about the activities . • Organization can provide low cost education so that poor people can take more advantage. • They have to start new hospitals in the rural area so more & more people can take free medical services. • Also they can provide free lunch on a regular basis to the poor children. 40
