  • 1. Discovery Streaming Reference Guide
    • Mr. Michael J. Vuckovich

  • 2. Getting Started… Go to our district’s website, click on “teachers/staff”, select Discovery Streaming
  • 3. Searching in Discovery Streaming Keyword search - just type in your key words or subject and hit “go”.
  • 4. You can also search by subject…
    • Just click on your subject area or topic
  • 5. You can also search by PA standards
    • Select the sate, subject and grade you are interested in finding information on.
  • 6. Lesson Plan Library
    • You can also search Discovery’s Lesson Plan Library for lesson plans to use in your classroom.
  • 7. Calendar Option
    • Click on “Calendar” under Teacher Center. Click on a day of your choosing from the calendar. It opens a list of videos, broken down by subject area, that tie into events from that date.
  • 8. ATLAS
    • Click on “Discovery Atlas Interactive Map” under Teacher Center. Click “Launch Atlas”.
    • Choose a country or region from the dropdown menu to find videos about that specific area.
  • 9. Assignment Builder
    • Assignment Builder
    • Click on “Assignment Builder” under Teacher Center
    • Click “Create New”
    • Follow the step by step tabs that open (i.e.: General Information, Add Materials, etc.).
    • When finished, you are given an assignment code that students use to access your assignment. They can also follow the URL that is provided.
    • You will received an email every time a student completes the assignment.
    • Note: to access assignments, students must go to http://www.unitedstreaming.com/studentCenter/
  • 10. Writing Prompts
    • Click “Writing Prompt Builder” under Teacher Center
    • Click “Create New”
    • Follow the step by step tabs that open (i.e.: General Information, Select Image).
    • When finished, you are given an assignment code that students use to access your assignment. They can also follow the URL that is provided.
    • You will received an email every time a student completes the assignment.
