GENERAL PROGRAM INFORMATION
Volunteering-Peru is a non-profit organization that
offers volunteer work opportunities abroad in social,
environmental, educational and community areas around
Peru.
The main focus of our programs is to offer a cultural
exchange experience to each volunteer in all of the
projects that at helping and working together with the
local people.
You will need to have a minimum of three weeks to
dedicate to the Volunteer Program: the first two weeks
previous to the program will be spent studying Spanish
only if your Spanish level is basic; the volunteer
placement will continue for the following three weeks (or
longer if you wish)
Projects
Possible fields of interest include social work, education,
cultural work, catering or construction. While most of the
volunteer projects take place in the city, there are also
projects out of the city.
Volunteers may choose to work in the following areas:
Childcare, Healthcare and Construction.
In those volunteer jobs there exist many activities to be
involved in, from drawing, painting reading, writing, doing
some handicrafts with them, teaching some English
words, teaching kids how to do such things as sing, wash
them selves, cook, sew, weave, garden and grocery shop,
organizing recreational activities, etc.
Please remember that Volunteering-Peru is a non-profit
organisation that does not receive government funding or
private donations. All fees paid by volunteers are used to
cover administrative and development costs, etc. We
strive to keep these fees as low as practical to enable
more people to actively participate.

GENERAL SPANISH COURSES INFORMATION
The study period is essential for those Volunteers with
no previous Spanish experience and highly recommended
for those who want to brush up on their Spanish language
and it consists of a study at least 2 weeks which should
enable a complete beginner to communicate in Spanish
upon finishing the course.
The Spanish courses available in the school range from
beginner and intermediate, to advanced levels. The
course includes grammar, conversation, listening, reading
and writing. During these first two weeks, you will
concentrate on Spanish homework in the afternoons.
After the minimum of 2 weeks of Spanish classes, you will
start your volunteer assignment which lasts a minimum of
2 weeks. Extra weeks can be added;
You will have four hours of Spanish classes from Monday
to Friday, with a different cultural activity every day in the
afternoon or evening.
There are no specific months for applying to the programs
and we received applications the whole year. You should
submit an application form and a resume at least two
weeks prior to their preferred starting date.
We recommend volunteers to start their Spanish courses
on Monday
