  • 3. DOWNLOADING THE APPHow Do I Download and Install The App?Its a simple process to download both free apps and paid apps to your phone.Follow the instructions below for easy downloading. 1. First you will need to create an account on the Apple AppStore website before you can download any apps. Follow the link below to take you to the sign up page. 2. When you sign up, you will need a credit card or payment information, even if you only download this free app, Apple AppStore will still require this information. After you are done with this process, you should have a username (email address) and a password. You will need these to download the apps. 3. From your iPad, click on the App store button and scroll through to find the Voices.com app. Or, you can just search “Voices.com” in the App store and it will come right up. 4. Select the Voices.com app and hit the "free" button (its a free app), it will then change the "free" to "install." Click again to install. Here is where you will enter your username and password. You should only have to enter your username once and your iPad will remember it, but you will need to always enter a password to prevent just anyone from downloading apps to your iPad. 5. Once your iPad has started downloading the app, a status bar will show up to indicate how long it will take to download, (approximately 1 minute.) Once it is complete, you can access your new app on your iPad. SIGNING UPNew Voices.com MembersYou can sign up for a free Voices.com account to get access to all the cool newfeatures of the Voices.com App. The first step is to select your account type.Are you a talent or client? A client is a person who is looking to hire a voice talentfor a project such as a commercial, narrate a video, provide a voice for a characterin a game or record a voicemail message. A talent is a person who is looking forvoice-over work, wants to record a sample of their voice on their iPad and promotethemselves to prospective employers.Once you’ve signed up, you’ll be immediately logged in and can start using the appright away.   • 5. CHECKING OUT THE TOP 100Top 100There are a few Top 100 lists on the iPhone App.The Recently Hired list showcases the most recent 100 talent who have completeda job through Voices.com. The list is updated every five minutes.This New list features new members of Voices.com and those who have mostrecently renewed their memberships.The Favorites list is determined by the number of times clients have shortlisted atalent by clicking on the "Save to Favorites" feature. The talent who are saved themost often to client favorites appear on this list.   • 6. SEARCHING FOR VOICE TALENTSearching by KeywordSearching for voice talent on the iPad is fun and easy. To get started, tap theSearch button in the navigation bar. At the top of the Search screen, you’ll see asearch bar where you can search our marketplace of 75,000 voice over talent fromaround the world. Search by keyword, language, gender and more.Browsing by CategoryAlternatively, if you know the category of audio samples you’d like to listen to, justtap into the category field and select the area of expertise you’re looking for.   • 7. VIEWING PROFILESLearning More About a TalentIf you hear a voice talent you might like to work with, tap through the search resultto see their complete profile. Each profile is made up of three parts; Bio, Demos,Feedback.The bio lists all the talent’s biographical information such as their work experience,credits, skills and recording studio set-up. The demos tab showcases audiosamples of the voice talent. Each demo includes a title, description and options toshare by email, Facebook or Twitter. The feedback tab reveals ratings and reviewsthat the voice talent has received from work they completed through Voices.com.To move ahead, simply tap the “Request Quote” banner at the top of the profile.   • 8. MANAGING YOUR JOBSManaging Your JobsTo post a job, tap the New Job icon (the briefcase) which will bring you to your jobspage. Click Post Job to bring up the job posting form. Posting a job will allow you toreceive MP3 voice-over demos and price quotes from a variety of voice-overprofessionals. It is quick and easy to do. Our job posting service is free and yieldsfantastic results.   • 9. POSTING A JOBPosting Your First JobTo post a job, tap the New Job icon which will bring you to the job posting form.Please complete all of the fields. For quoting purposes, our members request thatyou provide as much information as possible regarding your company, the nature ofyour project, the length of the script and what your company has budgeted forvoice-over work. Vocal direction and a sample script are also very helpful. If you donot require a custom read of your script, please note that in the details section ofthe job posting.   • 10. EDITING A JOBChanging The InformationYou have the ability to edit your job posting right from within the Voices.com App. Inthe bottom navigation bar, tap the Jobs button and locate your job. On the JobDetails screen, simply touch the Edit icon which will flip you into edit mode. Makeyour changes, and then click Save. REVIEWING RESPONSESHow Do I See Responses?On the Job Responses screen, you’ll see a list of voice talent including their overallfeedback rating, their quote for your project as well as a large audio player. Tap theplay button to listen to a sample recording of your script, commonly referred to asan audition. You can see even more details by tapping through to the next screencalled the Response Details.Viewing Response DetailsThe Response Details displays a proposal written by the voice talent and someactions that you can take such as “Liking” the talent by touching the thumbs-up iconor deleting the response.   • 12. HIRING A VOICE TALENTHow Do I Hire a Talent on the iPad?Once you’ve listened to all your auditions and narrowed it down to your favoritetalent, you’re ready to award your job. You’ve found the best candidate based uponperformance, audio quality and price so you’re ready to move ahead.On the Job Response Details screen, you’ll see a button labeled “Award Job.” Tap“Award Job” and you’ll see options for placing your order by credit card.For tight deadlines, it’s recommended that you call our customer service hot-line,toll-free within North America. Friendly customer service representatives areavailable to take your call, complete the hiring and accept payment by credit cardover the phone. A receipt for your payment will be sent to your email address andthe project will proceed immediately. MANAGING PAYMENTSSending Payments To Voice TalentOn the Payments screen, you’ll see a list of your payments with information such asthe job the payment was for, the date you made the payment and the amount.To see more information related to a payment, tap through to view the PaymentDetails. Here you’ll see the payment details. Once you’ve received the completedaudio files and you are satisfied with the work, tap “Release Payment” which willnotify Voices.com to release the funds from escrow and issue the payment to thevoice talent.That’s it!   • 14. COMMUNICATING WITH TALENTMessagesAccess all your previous messages and communicate with voice talent right fromyour iPad. The list of messages in your Inbox is organized by most recent on topand you’ll even see which messages are new as indicated by the blue dot. Ifyou’ve read a message, there will be no blue dot. You may also view yourpreviously sent messages and deleted messages.Message DetailsSimply tap the subject line to see the full message. On the message details screenyou can read the entire message, reply to the sender or mark the message asunread and go back to it later.
