It covers an area of 931 hectares and will add 232km to Dubai's natural 67km of beachfront.  The islands range from 150,000 to 450,000 square feet in size.  The project is divided into private estate island zones, commercial zones, which have low/mid/high density resorts, hubs for ferry transfer points and public visitor areas.

Global operator plans to have 10,000 rooms in the city by 2020  Flora Hospitality is embarking on a Dhs750 million expansion which will see it open four more Dubai properties in the next three years.  New projects include a hotel in the Burj Khalifa Master Community, comprising fully serviced apartments; two fourstar properties in Al Barsha and Al Garhoud; and a 90-room hotel in Deira’s Al Baniyas district.
