  • 1. A Butterfly’s Lesson”One day, a smallopening appearedin a cocoon; aman sat andwatched for thebutterfly forseveral hours asit struggled toforce its bodythrough that littlehole.
  • 2. Then, it seems tostop making anyprogress. It appeared as ifit had gotten asfar as it couldand it could notgo any further.
  • 3. So the mandecided to helpthe butterfly: hetook a pair ofscissors andopened thecocoon. The butterflythen emergedeasily. But it had awithered body, itwas tiny andshriveled wings.
  • 4. The mancontinued towatch becausehe expectedthat, at anymoment, thewings wouldopen, enlargeand expand, tobe able tosupport thebutterfly’sbody, andbecome firm.
  • 5. Neitherhappened! In fact, thebutterfly spentthe rest of itslife crawlingaround with awithered bodyand shriveledwings. It neverwas able to fly.
  • 6. What the man, in hiskindness and his goodwilldid not understand wasthat the restricting cocoonand the struggle requiredfor the butterfly to getthrough the tiny opening, were God’s way offorcing fluid from thebody of the butterfly intoits wings, so that it wouldbe ready for flight once itachieved its freedom fromthe cocoon.
  • 7. Sometimes, struggles areexactly what weneed in our life.If God allowed us togo through our lifewithout anyobstacles, it wouldcripple us. Wewould not be asstrong as we couldhave been. Neverbeen able to fly.
  • 8. I asked for Strength...and God gave medifficulties to make mestrong.I asked for Wisdom...and God gave meproblems to solve.I asked forprosperity...and God gave me abrain and brawn towork.
  • 9. I asked forCourage…..and God gave meobstacles toovercome.I asked forLove...and God gave metroubled peopleto help.
  • 10. I asked for Favors...And God gave meOpportunities.“I received nothing Iwanted...But I receivedeverything Ineeded."
  • 11. Live life without fear, confront all obstacles and know that you can overcome them.Send this message to your friends and show them how much you care.
