Objective <ul><li>Improving cooking devices to reduce indoor air emissions & improving thermal efficiency. </li></ul><ul><li>Developing thermal efficient and non –polluting bio-fuel from available waste through pelletization technology. </li></ul><ul><li>Customising LED based devices with improved light intensity to replace CFL lights. </li></ul><ul><li>Contraction & Improving 5 biogas plants involving community on cost- sharing basis </li></ul><ul><li>In – use – demonstration of solar photovoltaic water pumping system with water purification unit. </li></ul>

Scope of Project <ul><li>The Project focuses on developing /customising suitable, cost effective & efficient technology for- cooking, lighting. </li></ul><ul><li>The main aim- developing & demonstrating a (i)valve chain for sustainable and environmentally benign (ii) value chain fulfilling the cooking energy need of rural populace through biomass </li></ul>

  6. 6. Research, customization & demonstration <ul><li>Improved cooking stove - </li></ul><ul><li>Rural household are depends on inefficient cook stove. Research for cook stove bring the latest cook stove technology by fuel-efficient and customising the cost of device at local need. </li></ul><ul><li>Pelletization technology- </li></ul><ul><li>Developing the calorific value of fuel from locally available waste like rice hush bio-waste ect, through Pelletization (densification –low bulk density to higher bulk density) </li></ul>
  7. 7. <ul><li>Led based solar systems - </li></ul><ul><li>Research & development for Customization of LED based lighting device with testing lumen intensity & application in rural household or community </li></ul><ul><li>Biogas plant - </li></ul><ul><li>Design of a Biogas digester gas production from bio waste for Improvement in process technology with Technology application (SPV water pumping systems with water purification </li></ul>
  8. 8. <ul><li>Technology application through demonstration education and dissemination - Demonstration of solar water pumping system integrated with water purification system required testing of water quality as salinity (ph) , fluoride , blackish </li></ul>
