    • Jumeirah Beach Residence , Mixed Use Development Dubai,UAE View from the Beach side :Artists Impression Jumeirah Beach Residence is an large scale multi use residential development consisting of 34 towers of average 35 -55 stories high .The construction is in full swing and is considered as one of the largest single ongoing residential projects in the world. My involvement was towards the design development of the penthouses and loft apartments for eight towers in Sector-4 of this development. The challenge was towards developing these loft and penthouse luxury apartments as a separate entity from the stack of apartments below thus resolving ending of services , crown of the towers,structure , vertical transportation , glazing etc as per master plan guidelines including special requirements such as swimming pools,large movement joints, terraces,Building maintenance systems necessitated by such high rise developments etc. Cost : $ 220 million for sector -4 (8 towers………………….2004-6) 1a Sector-4

The buildings consisted of Precast concrete panels anchored to RCC cast insitu structure. The sheer scale of project necessitated a very rigorous approach to drawings in terms of studio co-ordination ,layers, room/drawing numbering system along with standardization of schedules , items etc to built the project on a tight time and cost schedule

    • The Movenpick hotel is a Swiss chain modeling itself for the business and leisure traveler. This development is a 294 key , 23 storey high with various types of Suites,guest rooms, Banquets, Restaurants ,health club etc. T he specifications were specially designed to the exacting standards of Movenpick. The featured a leisure deck on the plaza with a swimming pool , outdoor bar area , All day dining etc which was accessible from the beach side vide a separate pedestrian entry. The urban design controls were delineated by the overall masterpaln of the Jumeirah beach residence. Ones role was as a job captain to deliver the design from conception to construction documentation in close co-ordination with multitude of agencies such as the interior designer,landscape consultant, kitchen services,cost consultants,BMU,MEP services etc . Working to strict area , cost and developmental controls within the 35 tower ongoing Jumeirah Beach Residence development was a challenge in this project. The construction is ongoing.     • The HCL Perot is a INDO-US joint venture for software technology development in the software capital of India Bangalore. The project involved designing large span structure to house the software workstations .A design was created by taking a module of the workstation as a basic unit and then working backwards to evolve 15,000 sq.ft L shaped halls with column free flat slab construction. A vertical circulation spine with glass hip roof connects the halls .     • Convention center Refurbishment for Scope Complex New Delhi,India The project involved a proposal for refurbishment of an existing convention hall in New Delhi including interior works fitout etc , along with a new design for the entrance porch to the center Aluminum composite sandwich panels along with curtain glazing of one way reflective were proposed to give a clean and business like look.     • The objective of the proposal was to design a signature style for an established Mughal style Food Chain of Delhi The design proposed comprised of a combination of Brick Tiles , Wooden Planks with SS embellishments in form of bands and signage with a band of red handmade ceramic tiles at the base to achieve a rich and earthy look.     • The project involved carried out a feasibility report for a 20 Acre Software Technology Park including phasing ,cost analysis and Urban Design and Architectural Controls for the Mother Block of which was to guide the adjacent developments for the individual owners within the park.     • Al Ghurair City Expansion ,Mixed Use Development Dubai,UAE 9a The Al Ghurair city expansion is a multi use entertainment complex designed to house a three level mall as the podium , a five star hotel and separate serviced apartment tower located on top of the podium as eleven storey towers each Situated in the heart of the city the project involves complex design issues in relation to traffic , relocation of existing services link to the existing mall located south-east of the development. A LRT train tunnel passes below the site which requires resolution of structure of the mall and hotel above in agreement with the train tunnel passage . Theme of the design is conceived by RTKL , Baltimore,US.
