CAPACITY BUILDING OF SUB CONTRACTORSBring Sub Contractors on Board with L&T’s Safety Vision.Evaluate them in terms of HSE & make it as one of thequalification criteria.Motivate them by means of creating opportunities &competition among them across Sites, Clusters, Regions etcRecognize them by means of Awards / Rewards,Certificates etc.Penalties on violation/bad performance. North Region – New Delhi
  16. 16. TRAINING ACROSS ORGANISATION & WORKERSDisplay of posters, warning signs and policies are notenough. Educate & provide regular information aboutsafety.Training should be ongoing throughout an individual’s timein the organization.People who are properly trained in their jobs are aware ofhazards associated with their role & those they superviseare less likely to suffer or cause injury. Establish a Good Safety Culture Attitudes Environment SystemsEach organization needs to consider & concentrate on the above aspects in developing &nurturing a safe culture that suits the organization & individuals within it.
