  2. 2. ACTS 18:24-28Now a Jew named Apollos, a native ofAlexandria, came to Ephesus. He was an eloquentman, competent in the Scriptures. 2He had beeninstructed in the way of the Lord. And beingfervent in spirit, he spoke & taught accuratelythe things concerning Jesus, though he knewonly the baptism of John. He began to speak boldly in the synagogue…
  3. 3. ACTS 18:24-28…but when Priscilla & Aquila heard him,they took him aside & explained to him the wayof God more accurately. And when he wished tocross to Achaia, the brothers encouraged him &wrote to the disciples to welcome him. When hearrived, he greatly helped those who throughgrace had believed, for he powerfully refuted the Jews in public, showing by the Scriptures that the Christ was Jesus.
  4. 4. ACTS 19:1-10And it happened that while Apollos was atCorinth, Paul passed through the inland country& came to Ephesus. There he found some disciples.And he said to them, “Did you receive the HolySpirit when you believed?” And they said,“No, we have not even heard that there isa Holy Spirit.” 3 And he said, “Into what then were you baptized?” They said, “Into Johns baptism.”

ACTS 19:1-10And Paul said, “John baptized with the baptismof repentance, telling the people to believe in theone who was to come after him, that is, Jesus.”On hearing this, they were baptized in the nameof the Lord Jesus. And when Paul had laid hishands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them,& they began speaking in tongues & prophesying. There were about twelve men in all.
  6. 6. ACTS 19:1-10And he entered the synagogue & for three monthsspoke boldly, reasoning & persuading them aboutthe kingdom of God. But when some becamestubborn & continued in unbelief, speaking evilof the Way before the congregation, he withdrewfrom them & took the disciples with him,reasoning daily in the hall of Tyrannus. This continued for two years, so that all the residents of Asia heard the word of the Lord, both Jews & Greeks.
