    • National Geographic Traveler Magazine : 2013 Photo Contest• The National Geographic Traveler Magazine photo contest, now in its 25th year, hasbegun. There is still plenty of time to enter. The entry deadline is Sunday, June 30, at11:59 p.m. Entrants may submit their photographs in any or all of the four categories:Travel Portraits, Outdoor Scenes, Sense of Place and Spontaneous Moments. Themagazines photo editors showcase their favorite entries each week in galleries. Youcan also vote for your favorites. "The pictures increasingly reflect a moresophisticated way of seeing and interpreting the world, making the judging processmore difficult," says Keith Bellows, magazine editor in chief.     • SENSE OF PLACE - Sperare: Hope - This picture is not a photo of apainting or landscape. It is colored threads/wool hanging from the wallin an amazing way with a nail head coming out in between. I tried tocreate a feeling of moon and sea. Name is hope because this is what Ihave learned after taking this picture.
