Worker Monkeys In Thailand -The Thais have taught pigtailed Macaque monkeys to climb tall coconut trees and only pick the ripe ones. -There are actually 6 month schools that the monkeys are sent to to be trained. -A human can pick only about 100 coconuts per day, a monkey can pick up to 1000. -The monkeys are treated very well, it is much easier to get them to work if they are treated well.
