The exhibition will take place at the newly opened VisitAddisonhh! Artisan and Conference Center located at 5151 Belt Line Road, Suite 400 inthe bustling Village on The Parkway, in Addison, Texas.ABOUT THE ARTISTSSibylle Bauer is the embodiment of a multi-cultural artist. She was born in Mexico Cityto German parents intent on providing her and her sister a true understanding of theiradoptive culture. This translated into constant travel within Mexico, of course in aGerman Volkswagen Beetle. Additionally, frequent visits to Europe and to the USexposed her to the colors of diverse geographies. Her formal undergraduate andgraduate studies took place in Munich and Berlin. Upon returning to Mexico, her re-encounter with the vibrancy of Mexican flora marked her artistic path, as it still doestoday.
    • At 22, Chris Bramel has already exhibited in New York and had a solo show in Houston. He currently resides in Fort Worth, Texas, where he attends Texas Christian University, working toward a BFA with concentration on photography. His current interest inphotography lies in panoramic landscapes and cityscapes, becoming fixated on showinga whole scene, taking a cinematic approach to photographing a site. For the Ro2 Artexhibition, Chris Bramel will present his new series, While You Were Sleeping, adramatic exploration of night-time photography.Piotr Chizinski, an MFA candidate at Cornell University, in Ithaca, NY and graduate ofTexas Tech University with degrees in sculpture and photography, has receivedinternational attention for his series The Living Room Scale Project, having exhibited thecollection of photographs at the Dallas Contemporary, FOTOFEST LA, and theGuangzhou Biennial of Photography in China. The Living Room Scale Project is meantto create a dialogue about consumerism and classism in America – exploring the LivingRoom as portrait of ones perceived social standing. Using methodologies derived from1930s social studies, combined with the artists own interpretations, Chizinski invitesparticipation from the audience with his complex, yet whimsical photographic works.Tuba Koymen received her BFA in Graphic Design from Bilkent University in Turkey, going on to earn her MFA in Photography from the Maryland Institute College of Art in1999. The artist considers herself to be an experimental photographer, whose workrevolves around geographical, cultural, and emotional issues, with the objective ofbringing attention to human nature by setting up an imaginary window. As an artist,Koymen connects with her audience through the use of old-world photographytechniques including pinhole photography. She has had major solo exhibitions at DukeUniversity, Light Factory in North Carolina, Austin College, Fort Worth Community ArtCenter, and Museum Center in Baku, Azerbaijan.Alisa Levy was born and raised, until the age of 12, in the USSR, before moving toIsrael, where she finished school and served in the army. After immigrating to the UnitedStates in 2003, Levy has focused on raising her family and living life with camera inhand. For her first gallery show, Alisa Levy presents brilliant photography, making use ofreflections and changing light around her. About her uncanny ability to capturepreviously unseen imagery caught in a pane of glass, Levy says, “you dont need eyes tosee.”About Ro2 ArtMother-and-son partners Susan Roth Romans and Jordan Roth operate Ro2 Art, a full-service gallery and consultancy with spaces in the Uptown and Downtown areas ofDallas, working with a diverse group of contemporary artists, most with ties to the NorthTexas Region. Moreinformation about Ro2 Art may be found at the gallerys website at www.Ro2Art.com.About Visit Addison! The newly opened Visit Addison! - Visitor and Information Center is unlike any othervisitors center in the country. Besides being the place to get visitor and tourisminformation, it’s an interactive, arts-based attraction in and of itself. The location at
