Oranges from Piraeus, Raisins and dates from Cyprus, Lemons from Egypt And black dust from Eritrea. Портокали от Пирея, стафиди и фурми от Кипър, лимони от Египет и черен прах от Еритрея.

А може би е сложил още две купички ориз от Виетнам, индийско орехче, кутия пури от Хавана и сребърна кама от Андалусия. And maybe he has put there also Two bowls of rice from Vietnam, A nutmeg from India, A box of Havana cigars, And a silver dagger from Andalusia.

On the bottom of the bag - a bottle Of tequila from midnight Mexico, На дъното на чантата — шише текила от среднощно Мексико,

консерва царевица от Америка, пакетче захар от Бразилия... Canned corn from America, A packet of sugar from Brazil...

But there is also Coffee from Ecuador, Chinese tea and a cluster Of bananas from Columbia, Но има също кафе от Еквадор, китайски чай и сноп банани от Колумбия

и някакво миниатюрно слонче от Брега на слоновата кост, и суши от Япония, As well as a miniature elephant From Cote d'Ivoire, And sushi from Japan,

Една пазарска чанта стига да побереш половината свят. А какво ти трябва за целия? A shopping bag is enough To hold half the world in it. And what would you need for the whole world?

Maybe a kiss on the threshold, Before you take the bag And open the book. Може би една целувка на прага, преди да поемеш чантата и разтвориш книгата.

Заповядай половината свят, дай ми другата половина... Welcome, half world, Give me the other half...
