      Use the imperatives for:

      • Use the base form of the verb for the imperative:
      Eat vegetables.
      • Use don’t + the base form for the negative form of the imperative:
      Don’t go to the park.

      • The present of be has three forms: am, is are.
    • UNIT 2: The Present of BE
      • Use the correct form of be + not to make a negative statement.

      Who: ask information about people.
      What: ask information about things or ideas.
      Examples:
      Who is that man? Who’s that man?

      What is that? What’s your jacket?

      To make Wh-questions, use the following structure:

      Examples:
      Where does he go? He goes to the cinema.
      What time do they sleep? About 10 p.m.
      Where do they eat? At Gino’s restaurant.
      When does the game start? At 9 o’clock.
      Why do we go too early? Because we need to be on time.
      Who visits you? My father.
      What happens today? Her mother comes.

      Adverbs of frequency say how often something happens.
      They arealways late. They alwayslive in Quito.

      Use the present progressive to talk about an action that is happening now.
