    • The State of the Internet Report AMERICAS HIGHLIGHTS – THIRD QUARTER, 2012 INTERNET & BROADBAND ADOPTION In the third quarter, the global average connection speed declined 6.8% to 2.8 Mbps, and the global average peak connection speed declined 1.4% to 15.9 Mbps. However, across countries in the Americas, quarterly changes across both metrics were generally positive.
