      • iTunes, iTunes U and iPod Touch
    • Why Mac
      • iTunes open a door to global open content for “Learning”
      • iTunes and iPod Touch together help to receive Global content content, through Podcast subscription
      • iTunes can be linked up to iWork of MacBook
      • iWork includes iPhoto, iMovie and GarageBand
    • PC
      iTunes and iPod touch can be used in PC platform
      Free iTunes can be download to PC at http://www.apple.com/itunes/
    • iTunes
      • iTunes is a freeware developed by Apple to manage iPod, iPod Touch, iPhone and now iPad.
      • not just getting music
      • a wonderful platform for getting podcasts and resources for mobile learning
      • also for getting Apple apps
    • What is Podcasting?
      • A podcast is a series of digital media files, either audio or video, that is released episodically and downloaded through web syndication (Wikipedia, 2009)
      • Initially developed from iPod + Broadcast. But now it is often referring to iPod Touch, iPhone and iPad
      • One of the commonly used platform for receiving podcast: iTunes, to subscribe the Podcast

      • For PC, iTunes download link

      • For Mac, iTunes is bundled with all Mac platform, just click the iTunes icon from the Dock
    • ITunes>iTunes Store>United States>ITunes U
    • Huge resources in iTunes U
    • Getting Podcast
      “Get Tracks” - download all the tracks to your computer
      “Subscribe” - all episodes will be subscribed. When new episodes are released, you will receive the new episodes and no need to go to this site again
    • Subscribe to Podcast
      After clicking subscribe, the whole series of “program list” will be downloaded to your computer
      Or you can click “get” to select the individual media file to download to your computer
    • Viewing resources with iPod Touch
      iPod Touch is a portable media player, personal digital assistant, learning device
      all your download media files from iTunes can be viewed with iPod Touch (of course, can also be iPhone or iPad)
      just connect the iPod touch to PC with the sync cable, all download materials in iTunes are sync to iPod touch
