  2. 2.  It is a Shooting star and is also known as a falling star It is ike a fire ball 38,000 meteorites have hit earth They hit in the North and South pole a lot Hit the grand canyon Its size was 30 metres It weighed 100,000 tons Its speed was 20 km per second
  3. 3. If a Meteorite hit the land it could cause Dust-Cut off sunlight for Months Make a crack in the earth Lower the temperature of the whole world Cause an earthquake Cut out power
  4. 4. What would happen if a meteorite hit the sea? Tsunamis would hit in every direction It could cause hurricanes or cyclones bigger than the pacific ocean Cut out power Block the sun for Months (closer to sand bigger the risk) Crack the earth Cause earthquakes
