  • What does Pinterest offer as a marketing channel for your business? Well with over 10 million uniques monthly, as reported by Comscore, the site can offer a steady stream of traffic to your site. A study by Eloqua found that Pinterest refers more traffic per user than Facebook or Twitter and Shareaholic found that Pinterest sent more referral traffic to websites than Twitter did in February of this year. The numbers really are astonishing. Brands can use Pinterest to help drive targeted traffic and sell more products too.
  • Need help finding pinterest worthy content? Pinstamatic is an awesome tool that lets you add quotes, calendar dates, twitter profile links, and sticky notes to Pinterest. Basically, the site is an image generator to help you create pinteresting pins. Pin A Quote is another site that helps you create great content by creating a custom graphic of a quote. Pinerly is also a must have tool, helping you to follow, unfollow, schedule pins on your own board and find popular pins. Additionally you can get stats on what’s being pinned right now involving you and your brand. Last but certainly not least of the tools are browser add ons. A few chrome Pinterest addons include Pinterest Pro which gives you instant zoom, a popular pin dropdown for easy viewing, the ability to pin from anywhere and a lot more cool stuff. Pin Search is an addon for chrome that take the cumbersome nature of the search functionality and help you find content easier and faster. Pinterest Right Click allows you to isolate a specific image on a site, right click it, and pin it to Pinterest. Each of these plugins are worth checking out. As Pinterest becomes more popular, there will be new and exciting tools. I can’t wait until Hootsuite adds pinning to Pinterest, which I sure hope is in the works!
