  3. 3. EDUCATION• Rs.4,727 crore for medicaleducation, training andresearch.• Rs.27,258 crore provided forSarva Shiksha Abhiyaan(SSA).
  4. 4. BANKING• Rs.6,000 crore to RuralHousing Fund in 2013-14.• National Housing Bank tosetup Urban Housing Fund2,000 crore to be provided tothe fund in 2013-14.
  5. 5. AGRICULTURE• Agricultural researchprovided Rs.3,415 crore.• Rs.27,049 crore allocatedto Ministry ofAgriculture, an increaseof 22% over the currentyear.
  6. 6. SPORTS• National Institute ofSports Coaching to beset up at Patiala at a costof Rs.250 crore over aperiod of 3 years.
  7. 7. OIL/GAS• A policy to encourageexploration andproduction of shale gaswill be announced.• The 5 MMTPA LNGterminal inDabhol, Maharashtra willbe fully operational in2013-14.
  8. 8. INSURANCE• Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana to be extended toother categories such as rickshaw, auto-rickshaw andtaxi drivers, sanitation workers, rag pickers and mineworkers.
  9. 9. ENVIRONMENT• To support municipalities that will implement waste-to-energy projects.• ‘Generation-based incentive’ reintroduced for windenergy projects and Rs.800 crore allocated for thispurpose.
  10. 10. TAX• A tax credit of Rs.2000 to everyperson with total income upto 5lakhs.• Increase surcharge from 5% to 10%on domestic companies whosetaxable income exceed Rs.10 crore.• Duty on Set Top Boxes increasedfrom 5% to10 %.• Duty on raw silk increased from 5%to 15%.
