  • This slide is precisely what I am trying to promote at the TRU OLFM Workshop 2014...engaging faculty in knowledge creation around OERs, effective student feedback, encouraging deeper approaches to learning and video and audio production.

  • Slide 16 FTW. David Wiley had a great post on open pedagogy last fall http://opencontent.org/blog/archives/2975 where he talks about disposable vs meaningful assignments (and I see that you reference David's ID PM book in this slide). For me, the 'worthwhile' in your slide means 'create something that has value to others beyond your instructor'

  21. 21. Approaches that are diverse One of my favorites: Superhero Students “In this activity you are to create a drawing of yourself to share with the rest of the class. Your drawing should portray you as a superhero and include your superhero name. You don't need any artistic abilities for this task, as I won't be evaluating you on your drawing abilities. The goal is to use your creativity to create a representation of yourself so that we learn more about each other.
