BHAGAVAD GITAHari Om!
Excellent One. Srimad Bhagwad Gita is the manual of Equipment called Human Being.
Reading it with its meaning, understanding it and applyng it in our life should be our sole aim.
The Book provides us that knowledge which makes us aware of the aim of our life, where we are heading for and what should we do to take the right path.
It reveals the truth and removes our ignorance. Your slideshow are inspiring one. If I can get your address I can send you a copy of this book.

SUCULENTAS 1Hari Om!
Very beautiful slideshow about plants. Nice work done. Thanks for sharing so good slideshows.
The plants are so useful to us. Not only they provide emotional solace but also provide physical elements required for proper functioning of the human system.
There is an ancient system of Medicine in India which uses all natural methods to cure the suffering of the people. This system of medicine is called Ayurveda. Plants are important part of Ayurveda. They provide all medicines required for the treatment in this system.
All the religions world over worship plants / tress in some or other form. Christians look at the Acacia as the Tree of Life. It was bodhi tree only where Bhagwan Buddha got enlightment.
Trees have played an important role in many of the world′s mythologies and religions, and have been given deep and sacred meanings throughout the ages. Human beings, observing the growth and death of trees, the elasticity of their branches, the sensitiveness and the annual decay and revival of their foliage, see them as powerful symbols of growth, decay and resurrection.
We Hindus worship Banyan, Peepal and Basil Trees. For us everything under the roof of this world is god. Every tree and every elements of the world are part of God. So our relationship with them should be very special. We should not waste them. Even unnecessary plucking of a leave of trees is crime. We should obtain resources from them only when it is required.
Above all we should respect them in the similar way we are respecting human being. Whenever we need anything from the tree we should ask them and then humbly take it. When we do this they will also respond.
Some think worshipping tree and respecting them are the religion of primitive. We think they are right. The Primitive is truth. When people were observing this primitive religion they were happy. Everything was going on nice and Trees along with human being was flourishing. But now the demonic culture of pillaging has created an atmosphere of disbelief between the man and the Trees. The Demon begets Demon. The result of this disbelief is the global warming and acute environmental pollution.
A conscious being will never ever allow this disbelief to flourish. His divinity will create an atmosphere of respect which will allow everything to co-exist. He knows that Tree is a part of him and he is a part of Tree. Both are moving within both.
Worship and Respect Tree.

MOOIHari Om!
Excellent pictures.
The World is very beautiful. Some people with different / special perception understand the beauty of the different occassions. They identify the most special thing and place it before the world.
Such people set a example for the others to follow. Such example are so powerful that they keep on inspiring people for generation to come. However type of special people can be categorised as those who worked for his own personal benefits, those who worked with the intention of benefit of society at a large and those who worked for the realisation of truth.
The first category of the people are those who have brought destruction to the world and they are placed in the lowest rank. For their personal benefit they have even created problems for others. They have lived the negative life. Dictators and Mafia Criminals of the world are example of such category of people.
The second category of the people are those who have worked for the benefit of society at large. They have Created some new thing which have brought some relief to the people of the world. They have lived the positive life. The inventors, the entertainers and the social workers are example of such category of people.
The third category of the people are those who strive for his own realisation. He tries to improve himself. By doing so he set an example for others to follow him. He improve himselves. In turn his existence itself improve the life of people in and around him. Accordingly he neither do positive nor negative.
Every positive or negative doing requires energy. Energy again generate energy which may be positive or negative. Since for highly evolved one, there is no doing, there is no energy. He is above doing. In fact he does by not doing anything. His existence is enough to convert a negative being into a positive one and then from positive to highly evolved one. The third category of the people are highly evolved kind of people. The saints of the world are example of such category of people.
The third category of the people are top ranked people. They are also called God-Man. The second category of the people can be kept in next higher rank. They are also called Man-Man. The first category of the people are lowest ranked people. They are also called Animal-Man.
Apparently it may look that social workers / inventors are higher ranked people as they do something for the society which is visible by naked eye. But the fact is whatever we see by our naked eyes is not always true. Nuclear Energy was great invention for the mankind. But it has both positive and negative use. Some are using it to make bomb and other for electricity. Similarly when a social worker establishes some people against the wish of other, it unestablishes others. However when these thing happens in the existence of highly evolved saints it does not further generate any misutilisation / unestability. His existence silence down the work of energy. The energy dies down and the bliss flows in.

JANET SKILESHari Om!
Thank you Maria. Your slidshows are very beautiful and creative.
The painter clearly understands the world.
Each painting contains lot of other thing in itself. We are also paintings of ourself. Further we also contain everything of this world. Everything is inside us. Every human being has its own world which is created by him. This creator is inside him.
We are the painter of ourself. If we want to know the nature of the painter then we have to do the deep analysis of his paintings. Understand the paintings clearly. Understand the type of colours used. Whether light colour has been used or dark colour has been used. Painter tries to reflect the emotions / qualities of the person by changing colours. Canvas is the important part of the paintings. Type of painting changes but the canvas remain common in all the paintings.
If we want to know the creator, we have to understand the nature of creation. Here we are the creator and also we are the creation. When we created nothing, then we were like blank surface (canvas) of the paintings.
When we created something, then we used the colours. If we go through the theory of colours then we can know that primary colours are only three i.e the Red, Yellow and Blue. These three RYB Colours are capable of creating other colours. Similary the colours of life (Tendencies) are three i.e Satwa, Rajas and Tamas. Tamas can be compared with Red Colour, Rajas can be compared with yellow colour and Satwa can be compared with Blue Colour. The Satwa consist of Tendencies of calmness, serenity and tranquillity. The Rajas consist of Tendencies of disturbance and depression. The Tamas consist of Tendencies of inertness and laziness.
We have created ourself by using the colours of Satwa, Rajas and Tamas. The different permutations / combinations of these Colours of Life have created different us.
Some people are balanced in activities. The are not workaholic. They maintain a balance between work and other activities. They try to help others. They work with an aim that their work should benefit a larger section of society. Such people maintain calm, enjoy for longer period of time and remain in peace. Such people are also very kind hearted and feel pain when other gets hurt. People in whom such Tendencies are dominating are called Satwic people.
Some people are very active and they just can not stop working. They are workaholic and require immediate result. They can do anything to achieve the result. Every work of them is aimed on getting some personal benefit. They are unable to act on a situation when there is no benefit. Such people generally remain disturbed as they consume whole of their energy in trying to fulfil those desires which are unachievable and trying to maintain those thing that they possess. Such people do not bother about the pain of others. People in whom such Tendencies are dominating are called Rajasic people.
Some people are inert and lazy. They do not want to work. They are like parasites and feed themselves on the host. Such people enjoy the pain of others. People in whom such Tendencies are dominating are called Tamasic people.
We may sometime observe all the three Tendencies are visible in us. Sometime we are serene and calm (Satwic State) , sometime we are angry (Rajasic State) and sometime we are lazy (Tamasic State).
If we deeply observe us then we can find that all of us can be divided into these three broad categories. When these three type of Tendencies was not a part of creation, we were like pure surface with nothing painted on it. Our mind was in pure bliss state. However when these three got mixed with the creations, we become limited with everything short lived for us. We were the subject of all the shortcomings of this world.
These three Tendencies are called the Tri Guna in Sanskrit. In order to be unlimited and cross the shortcomings of the world we have to become Trigunatit . Trigunatit state can come only when we are in a position to remain unaffected by the happenings of these three Tendencies. All the three state can come and go in an individual, but Trigunatit person will simply observe the state as witness and will remain unaffected by its shortcomings.

Human StoryHari Om!
Very nice slideshow. Very nicely presented the idea of Human Oneness.
The division of this world into countries with flags and borders is a social convenience only. This is gross convenience. Subtle is Divine and much powerful than the gross forces.
We Indian believe in “Atithi Devo Bhawa”. Direct translation of it into English is “The treatment of Guest should be at par with the way we treat God’.
Beating of Indian Students in Australia. Stranded Indian passengers badly treated by Air France staff. Such type of incidents should not happen if we are not ignorant.
Why such type of discrimination happens? This happens only because of insistence by human being to implement their line of thinking on other. There is a strong desire to move the world on its own way. When that does not happen, the result is anger. From gross point of view we can say that there is a group of people in this world who think that they are much more superior to the other group.
What is the benchmark of superiority? Who can be called superior? I will quote one of my experiences before answering this question. Due to my office work I was given an opportunity for Training Programme at Indore, India. Indore also houses Vedanta Mission Ashram. After taking permission of Guruji Swami Atmananda Sarswati I decided to stay in Ashram instead of Hotel. Indore is near to Holy place Mahakaleswar and Onkareswar, the abode of Lord Shiva. During my stay at Ashram, Guruji gave me an opportunity to visit Onkareswar with one of the American Student (he is from New York) at Ashram. The American student was very fascinated with Indian Ascetic. During visit to Onkareswar, he meet an Indian ascetic who was having nothing with him except a piece of cloth to cover himself. Inspite of having nothing he was happy to the core of heart. After seeing the ascetic, his comments was “ I have seen people in New York having big apartments, car , jewelry and good family with them. Still they were not happy. This Indian ascetic not having anything was still happy. I am amazed”.
Possession of Material thing is benchmark of superiority for the present world. More material thing one have, world consider him more superior than other. This is illusion. Not correct. The benchmark for superiority is how much happiness you have. How much free you are. Understand my dear the material thing of this world can not give us permanent happiness. The reason is the source which provides us joy is inside and not outside.
We Indian also believe in “Vasudeva Kutumbakam”. Direct translation of it into English is “The whole world is one family”. When every human being is lighted by the light of single father, then where is the question of discrimination. Discrimination exists only at the Gross level. Living the life based on gross / physical discrimination is the life of lower quality. Those who do that are not aware of the basic truth of life.

FRED CALLERIHari Om!
Excellent paintings by Fred Calleri.Very original slideshow.
Each painting differs from other. However there is one thing common. The expression of every person in the paintings is childlike. Further everyone is so calm and relaxed. It seems that everyone is realised.
How a realised person will behave in the worldly activities. He will remain calm whatever is the situation. He will not get excited at the time of Joy . He will not cry at the time of pain / sorrow.
There are different emotions to express the different situation of life. He will also express his emotions but will remain unaffected by it. This can be explained by way of simple example. Suppose an ordinary person become angry. In such a situation his mind and intellect will not work. He will be carried away by the emotions and will take a drastic step which may be harmful to him and others. However when a realised person become angry, his Mind and Intellect will be perfectly working. The reason of his becoming angry is a conscious step taken by him to correct a particular situation.
A realised person lives in present. He is fully available to the present situation. This helps him in putting his 100% to any work he does. Accordingly whatever work he does is the work of perfection.
A realised person does not differentiate between work of low rank and work of high rank. For him every work is a work of God. He considered himself as the instrument of the God. He knows that the almighty God is getting all the work done through him. As far as the worldly activities are concerned he works not for the result but for the God. His aim is to complete the work perfectly irrespective of positive or negative result.
A realised person may suffer from disease. In such a situation he will also feel pain like ordinary man. However he will not be in grief or will regret the situation.
At a certain time a realised person may give more importance to a certain person and less importance to other. However he will not be affected by the lowly emotions of like and dislikes. He sees God in everyone. For him everyone is equal.
A realised person is dependent on God for his living.
A maid servant when working in the home of master knows that the present home is her temporary home and her actual home is far away at village. While working she constantly keep this in mind and always remember her actual home. In similar way a realised person while behaving in this world knows that the illusionary world is not his actual home and always keep on remembering God.

FRANCAHari Om!
France is beautiful country with a beautiful people.
Recently Prime Minister of India was Chief Guest in Idependence day function of France. He was given very warn welcome. Really French people are very nice host.
When we tallk of french, the following things comes to our mind:
1) End of Roman Empire in 1500 AD was start of French origin people known as Frank.
2) The French Revolution (1789–1799) which lead to the end of monarchy and start of constitutional government.
3) 1886 - Gift of Statute of Liberty to Americans
4) 1889- Construction of Eiffel Tower.
French have a history of revolution, friendship and courage. So many changes took place which have changed the life of people upside down and had given birth to modern day France.
We have motivation and courage to change our outer world. The histories provide a proof for it. From ages we are giving birth to revolution after revolution to make changes which are comfortable to our life. Still we are uncomfortable.
Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda has coined very nice quote for this
“Earlier we were uncomfortably unhappy and now we are comfortably unhappy”
In order to be comfortably happy what we require is not the outer revolution but the inner revolution.
Reading of knowledge scriptures, company of saints, meditation, visiting holy places, counting of rosary beads and chanting of lord’s name are some of means of inner revolution.
People used to say “Guruji I do not have time to devote for all these purpose”. Guruji said “then be in the world of illusion and be always comfortably unhappy”. He also used to jokingly say “Graze the illusion that’s what you are made for”. If we do not have time to quash the fire which is burning our hair, then it means we are ignorant. We do not know about the fire. When we will come to know about it, we will do all possible thing to extinguish the fire.
However there is no need to get dishearten. When we have so much courage to change the outer world, we can very well change the inner world. The obsctacle is ignorance. Turning inside require a bit of knowledge.
The result is the guaranteed. Guarantee of freedom from Birth, Death, pains of Old age and all type of sorrow. Now why should not we try for it? Its worth trying. Give a small half an hour of your precious daily time and get that which you can never get by spending even the treasure of the world.
Now is the time. Just a bit of knowledge and change the whole world inside.

HOLLYWOODHari Om!
Nice old clips of Hollywood movies.
The name Hollywood was coined by H. J. Whitley, the Father of Hollywood. He and his wife, Gigi, came up with the name while on their honeymoon in 1886. The first film which was shot in Hollywood was called In Old California, a one-reel melodrama set in Mexican colonial-era California in the 1800s. The film was shot in 1910. The first studio which was established in Hollywood was Nestor Studio in 1911.
The first feature film made specifically in a Hollywood studio, in 1914, was The Squaw Man, directed by Cecil B. DeMille and Oscar Apfel and was filmed at the Lasky-DeMille Barn amongst other area locations. By 1915, the majority of American films were being produced in the Hollywood. Four major film companies — Paramount, Warner Bros., RKO and Columbia — had studios in Hollywood, as did several minor companies and rental studios.
A century had passed and the Hollywood is still entertaining the people of the world. It’s a dream world for the crores of people of the world. They dream to be a part of Hollywood. Someone said that “Hollywood sells dream”.
The world is also Hollywood when we are not in dream. The world is a Hollywood of the waking state of mind. In the Hollywood of the world the people creates their own personal dream world. Also called “samsãra” in Sanskrit. This samsãra can be compared with the film reel of the movie. Our day to day actions creates this film reel. Good actions creates good story with happy ending and bad actions create bad story with a painful ending. While film reel moves on from birth, to young age, to old age and finally to the end we are fully engrossed in it. While engrossed in the movie we undergo different emotions i.e feel pain, joy, depression, suppression, excited, optimistic, pessimistic, worried, grateful etc.
The projection of samsãra is because of him. He is the light of the projector. After the lights comes in we put the film reel in front of the light and only then we are able to experience different emotions of the life in the life screen. The films reel blocks the pure light to manifest. Accordingly instead of pure light projection what we see is the samsãra created by us.
Do not put the movie reel in front of projector. Now what will be the outcome? The pure light will be projected in the screen. Now there is no difference between the light and we. This pure light is we. We the bliss and nothing else but the bliss.
What is self realisation ? why it is worth craving for? Million dollar questions. Till we are engrossed in the emotions of the film reel, we feel that this is the practical life. Further we live with an incorrect notion that the life has both joy and sorrow to offer and accordingly we should experience it. But the knowledge loudly declares to remove the sorrow from our dictionary. What if someone offers us only bliss i.e supreme joy. We will surely like to have it. The knowledge gives us realisation of the self and end of all sorrows.
The knowledge provides us the technique of ending samsãra. When there will be no samsãra there will be no film reel. Now the pure light can manifest. The technique is enjoyment without attachment.
Follow the mantra of enjoyment without attachment and end the samsãra.

EL ROCIOHari Om!
Spain is a colourful country with lots of festivals. Nice slideshow clearly describing the Rocio Pilgrimage.
The Rocío Pilgrimage is the most famous in the region, attracting nearly a million people from across Andalucia and the entire country. This is a tradition that began in the 15th century when a hunter from the village of Villamanrique discovered a statue of the Virgin Mary in a tree trunk near the Doñana park. Devotion to this particular version of the Virgin Mary was initially a local affair. However, over the centuries it became more and more widespread.
The climax of the festival is the weekend before Pentecost Monday. In the early hours of Monday the Virgin Mary is brought out of the church so the people can see / worship her .
Most of the festivals world over is divine which relates to God and its divine symbols. Name any country and any festivals it should have the divine relations.
Divinity and Virginity are directly related to each other. Virginity refers to purity while divinity helps in purification process. The more pure anything will be, the more subtle it will be. The more subtle it will be, the more blissful it will be.
Someone asked - Guruji how can we see God?. Guruji replied that you can not see God, because he is not the object of this world which we can be identified through five senses. We can not see but we can feel God who is none other than the treasure house of supreme happiness. However he is subtle. Accordingly in order to feel him, we should make ourself subtle. Only subtle can feel the subtle.
Purification of thought, words and action is the process which will make us subtle. Guruji once said that when we are alone and still our thoughts are pure then it is true purity. Our thought, words and action should be divine. We should watch all the three very attentively when we are carrying out our relationship with the outer world.
Attending such festivals are one of the means to purify our thoughts, words and actions. During the festivals we forget about our daily life and merge with the divine thoughts, words and actions which are expressed in such festivals. Remembering Lord, talking about Lord and seeing the statue of Lord is what such festivals offer.
Remembering Lord, Chanting the name of the Lord and watching the statue of the Lord is what we also do during different festivals in India. This make us divine and in turn helps us in purification of our thoughts, words and action.
We should purify our thoughts, words and actions. It will in turn make ourself subtle. Finally we can feel the treasure house of bliss / the supreme happiness who is none other than he.

LORD KRISHNAHari Om!
Krishna Janamastami and the next day is Independence Day. This is really very nice combination.
The Lord took birth in Human Body to make us understand the subtle knowledge of truth in our own language. He foreknow that the day will come when Humans will be highly engrossed in the enjoyments of the gross world. In such a situation it will be difficult for them to understand the subtle knowledge of Upanishad. So the kind hearted prabhu left his abode and took avatar in the gross world to give us the message of Bhagawad Gita. The Holy Book is a manual of the highest living explaining the process of evolution of man-man to god-man.
The Journey is from Gross to Subtle. Untruth to truth. Bondage to independence. Sufferings to bliss.
In fact the Independence Day we celebrate is the gross independence we got from the British Rule. Here also the message of Lord helped. Mahatma’s technique of Non Violence was inspired by Lord’s message in Bhagwad Gita. Mahatma was getting all guidance from Bhawad Gita. It was technique of non violence only which got us independence from British rule.
Bhagwad Gita guides us both in the situation of gross and subtle life. It guides us and provides us the road map to extract maximum happiness from Gross world. It also provides us the road map for the journey from gross to subtle.
However even after gross independence our suffering has not ended. Earlier we were uncomfortably unhappy and now we are comfortably unhappy. The Real Independence is achieved when we start applying the message of Lord in our daily life and make all out effort to reach him. Seeing our effort he will help us in our journey.
He when showering the message of Srimad Bhagwad Gita to the earthly persons offered a choice to everyone. One choice is to read and hear the message and lead the life according to it. Another choice is to ignore it and lead the worldly life of pain and sufferings.
The Independence day after Krishna Janamastami symbolishes that real independence is achieved only when the he is born in our heart in the form of knowledge.
Happy Lord Janamastami to you.Happy Independence day to you.
