Commodity How to implement an application in a company? • Servers, backup, UPS are purchased... • New server and client licenses are added... • Finally, services are purchased to execute and maintain the whole! Result • A very large amount of time & budget goes to infrastructure. • This kind of infrastructure is of no economic interest to the company.

Concept presentation The concept of IT in the cloud can be compared to that of current distribution • Specialized companies offer processing power and data storage capacity to the consumer, which is invoiced according to actual consumption. • This way, companies do not need dedicated servers anymore, but entrust this resource to a company which guarantees them on-demand processing power and storage capacity.
