  • 2008-2009 JCA BOOK DRIVE Guidelines
  • Who? When? Where? Why?
    • Why have a Book Drive?
      • The Book Drive will help to restore both the Secondary and Elementary School library.
    • Who will participate?
      • JCA staff, students, family, and friends.
    • When will the drive start and end?
      • The Book Drive starts the second week of September and will end the second week in October.
    • Where will the books be collected?
      • The books may be placed in boxes in designated areas.
    • New or gently used books.
    • Paperbacks and children’s books are gladly accepted
    • Young adult novels and fiction books
    • Non fiction books
    • Activity books and coloring books
    Acceptable Books
    • technical manuals
    • damaged books
    • magazines
    • outdated reference materials i.e. encyclopedia’s
    • books with torn or worn covers or pages.
    • books with missing covers or pages.
    • books published before 1985.
    • books with inappropriate language, sexual content, excessive violence, and explicit pictures.
