  • 3. MEASURES OF CENTRAL TENDENCY Mean- the most common measure of center and is alsoknown as the “ arithmetic average ”.

Three commonly measures of variability: Range – the difference between the highest score and lowest score in the data set. Quartile Deviation – The half of the difference between the third quartile and the first quartile. Standard Deviation – the most important and useful measure of variation, it is the square root of the variance.
