    31. 31. Xxx Lifted it up. The paper maker submerged the mold into a vat. XXX Transferred the sheet of paper onto a coarse woolen cloth. XXX Repeated it until they had 250 sheets The press with its crank was used to squeeze most of the excess moisiture from the pile. The sheets of paper were hung to dry with a t-shaped tool

    34. 34. Communications To come to Igualada. You have to take a FFCC train in Pla Ç a Espanya, Barcelona, in direction to Igualada. It is also possible to take a coach “Hispano Igualadina” at Diagonal or you can use your own means of transport,e.g car (45min. approx. )

    36. 36. La Manresana Tower <ul><li>There was a battle between Catalans (Austrians) and French (Castilians).The battle took place in Prats de Rei, in 1711.The battle was part of a war to decide who would be the next king of Spain. </li></ul>
    37. 37. Popular Army Training Base The Republican Army created a training base in Pujalt. Young men were recruited to fight with the Republican Army.The base was created in spring of 1938, towards the end of the Spanish civil war. The base was necessary to prepare men for fighting.

    39. 39. Geocaching Geocaching is a high-tech adventure hunting game placed around the World by adventure seerkers equipped with GPS devices. The basic idea is to go outside and locate hidden containers called geocaches using a GPS enabled device. You need put the coordinates into your GPS device and head outside to find a cache. If you follow the c oordin ates, finally you will find the cache.

    41. 41. Here lived the Neanderthals and they made the food and did their daily chores The archeologists are looking for fire pits, animals and tools that had been cut down by the neanderthals. They built weapons, punches and spears with the stones.

Christmas Festivities: THE CHRISTMAS LOG The Christmas Log arrives on 8th of December, and from this day on ,the children give some food to the Christmas Log until the 24th or 25th December, and they put a blanket on the log so that it doesn’t get cold. <ul><li>The night of 24th December, the children hit the log with a stick and at the same time the children sing a song to the Log. </li></ul><ul><li>Then the Log pop out presents for the children. </li></ul>

    47. 47. THE DRUMMER OF THE “EL BRUC” ThIt is a story that explains how an unarmed Group of villagers were able to stop the invading French Army. When you go to the Montserrat Mountains you can still hear the drum’s echo.
