My full set of 40+ (now over 50) social lenses are a full compliment of ways to see, identify, and think through social tools adoption in organizations where 100% adoption is the expectation at some point in the not to great distant future.
Preso went really well. Great questions after and fantastic follow-up after. Many are having serious problems with this and other related issues from orgs implementing to vendors trying to get beyond simple social. Ones out of the loop seem to be IT and implementers.1 year ago
Are you sure you want to
Rick Ladd, Chief Emergineer at Rick Ladd & AssociatesHello Thomas - This is another preso where I believe I understand the point(s) you are conveying, but am quite certain there is greater depth than I can ascertain from the slides alone. I think I spent years dealing with the difficulties inherent in achieving what I believe you mean by 'social comfort' and, in the process, came damn close to being perceived as the 'company idiot' for trying so hard.
I have been giving a lot of thought lately to the barriers to participation in social business and you seem to be hitting on some of the basic issues. In trying to better understand where you're coming from I was led to check out the IA Summit, which is not an area normally withing my wheelhouse. Nevertheless, I did find some interesting perspectives to ponder by reading some of the synopses, including yours (which helps further explain your preso).
